Shaitaan X (Twitter) Review: Ajay Devgn’s New Movie Receives Praise

Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated supernatural thriller, Shaitaan, has finally hit theaters today, and the initial reviews are pouring in. The film’s intriguing posters and trailer had already heightened the audiences’ anticipation, promising a thrilling cinematic experience. The first-day-first-show viewers have flooded X (Twitter) with their reviews, and it seems Shaitaan has made its impact.

Adding to the excitement, fans are left astounded by R Madhavan’s portrayal of the villainous character.

‘Spine-chilling’: Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan review

Shaitaan revolves around Kabir (Ajay Devgn) and his seemingly idyllic family of three. A stopover at a dhaba (roadside restaurant) introduces them to Vanraj (R Madhavan), a seemingly harmless gentleman who soon reveals his sinister side.

The story takes a dark turn when Vanraj offers Janhvi (Janki Bodiwala) a poisonous laddoo (sweet), putting her under his control. As the family heads to their farmhouse, Vanraj follows. He forces his way into their lives and, soon after, exercises control over Janhvi, making her do unthinkable things.

Now, as Shaitaan premiered in theaters, the Twitter-sphere is abuzz with reactions and reviews. One enthusiastic viewer tweeted, “Shaitaan is a spine-chilling psychological thriller movie that would keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the film. This movie is the best example of what is unseen in our modern society. #AjayDevgn has done a fabulous job as expected. Overall, a nail-biting experience.”

Another Twitterati praised the standout performances, stating, “Janvi’s character literally steals the show. The interval block is shocking, #RMadhavan’s acting is both scary and mind-blowing. The storyline is brilliant, and the direction is phenomenal. @ajaydevgn’s intense eyes add to the overall impact.”

However, not all reviews are as glowing. A critical viewer expressed, “Below-average black magic show is ordinary, repetitive & tiresome in the first 2 acts until that satisfying climax. This isn’t anything groundbreaking in the horror genre. Madhavan shines, it’s his show all the way. Ajay Devgn, Jyothika & kids are decent.”

As the audience grapples with the gripping storyline, Shaitaan promises to be a rollercoaster of suspense and psychological thrill.
