After an incredibly eventful season, Bigg Boss 17 finally ended on January 29, 2024. The 17th season of the show witnessed so many highs and lows, including surprise eviction and unexpected wildcard entry. With Salman Khan as the host, the final episode of Bigg Boss 17 also saw many celebrities’ appearances.
The top five finalists of this season included Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and Arun Mashetty. In the finale episode, Arun Mashetty was the one who got evicted from the house and finished his Bigg Boss 17 journey in 5th position.
He was further instructed to leave the house and join Salman Khan on the stage. Upon his arrival on stage, Arun showed his heartwarming expression to the host and bowed down the show for the opportunity. After this, the conclusive episode glimpsed the eviction of Ankita Lokhande from the house as she completed this season in 4th position.
The elimination of Ankita came as a surprise to Salman Khan. The host of Bigg Boss mentioned that he was expecting Ankita to secure one of the final two spots. He also compared Ankita with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who emerged as the finalist in the previous season. The third position was assured by Mannara Chopra, who got evicted from the house after Ankita. This left Munawar Faruqui and Abhishek Kumar as the top 2 finalists of Bigg Boss 17.
Munawar Faruqui wins Bigg Boss 17
The concluding moments of the show saw live voting between Abhishek and Munawar. Moreover, Salman Khan declared that fans have the opportunity to vote among these two through the Jio Cinema app. The contestant who will get the maximum votes in this live voting session will be called the winner.
Soon after live voting ended, both the finalists were called upon the stage, resulting in bidding an emotional farewell to the house. Subsequently, when they joined Salman on the stage, the host declared Munawar Faruqui as the winner of this season.
As such, Abhishek Kumar became the runner-up of Bigg Boss 17. While Munawar’s fans have been happy with his sensational victory, Abhishek’s journey undoubtedly won the hearts of many.
