Kiran Rao is all set to make her comeback as a director with her upcoming movie, Laapataa Ladies. The makers recently released the film’s much-awaited trailer.
Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande are producing the comedy-drama under Aamir Khan Productions. It stars Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, Nitanshi Goel, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan. Based on the story by Biplab Goswami, Sneha Desai wrote the screenplay and dialogue, along with additional dialogue provided by Divyanidhi Sharma. Laapataa Ladies will release in theaters on March 1, 2024.

Kiran Rao promises a funny tale of two lost brides in Laapataa Ladies trailer
The official trailer for Laapataa Ladies premiered on January 24, 2024. Kiran Rao took to social media to share the trailer and wrote, “Ghunghat uth chuke hain (The veil has been lifted) #LaapataaLadies trailer is out! Pre-book your tickets now to avail the BMS offer.”
Set in the heart of rural India, the movie revolves around two young brides who find themselves in an unexpected twist of fate. The trailer starts with a man introducing his wife to his family and the villagers. However, he realizes that he brought home the wrong bride. On the other hand, another man reported his missing wife at a police station. The teaser for the movie was released on September 8, 2023.
Jio Studios and Aamir Khan Productions recently shared a collaboration post with the cast of Laapataa Ladies. The photo had Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, Aamir Khan, and Kiran Rao posing together during a special preview of the movie’s trailer. The caption read, “Excitement is in the air @nitanshigoelofficial, @pratibha_ranta, @ss_this_side, #AamirKhan and @raodyness gathered together in Mumbai as they attended a special preview of the trailer of #LaapataaLadies, arriving in cinemas on March 1st 2024.”
Laapataa Ladies received praise after its first screening at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023. It promises to provide viewers with an entertaining and humorous rollercoaster ride within an engaging plot.
