It was earlier reported that Venkatesh’s Saindhav’s digital rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. As per News18, the streaming giant paid a hefty $1.8 million for the film’s OTT rights. Now, as per the same report, the film is expected to arrive on the platform on February 9. Due to the movie’s decent theatrical run, it will allegedly arrive sooner on the platform. The makers have not announced the official OTT release date yet.
Saindhav follows the story of a doting father who would go to any extent to save his daughter. When his daughter is diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, he is forced to go back to his dark past. He enters the criminal world again to garner money for his daughter’s treatment.
The film marked the actor’s 75th film of his career. Shraddha Srinath played the leading lady in the movie, while the lead antagonist was portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Andrea Jeremiah, Arya, Mukesh Rishi, Baby Sara, Ruhani Sharam, and other played supporting roles in the film. Sailesh Kolanu penned the film’s script and also served as its director. Niharika Entertainment bankrolled the movie.
