Directed by Tharun Sudhir, Kaatera continues its successful journey at the box office. As per reports from Sacnilk, on its 12th day, Kaatera has surpassed the mark of $7 million in India Net Collection.
Kaatera was released on December 29, 2023. Produced under the banner of Rockline Venkatesh, the film features Darshan Thoogudeepa (Kaatera) in the lead role and Aradhana Ram (Prabhavathi) in the female lead as a debutant. In addition, Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, Shruti, and Vaijanath Biradar, among others, play a significant role.
The film’s storyline delves into a backdrop of the 1970s, where landlords were deemed dominant. In addition, Kaatera (Dinesh) helps the villagers escape from the landlords’ atrocities. He also wants to execute the Land Reforms Act to aid the villagers.
For those unaware, on February 16, 2022, the film was unveiled with minimal details, marking Darshan’s birthday. Almost one year later, the makers disclosed the film’s first look along with the title on February 26, 2023.

Darshan Thoogudeepa’s Kaatera has maintained a steady performance at the box office. On its opening day, the film earned an outstanding collection of $1.3 million. Subsequently, on the second day, it made $945k and $1.1 million on the third day.
The Indian net collection of the first week stands at $5.4 million at the box office. As per the early estimates, on Day 12, Kaatera has earned $116k. As of this writing, the complete Indian net collection for the film has reached $7 million. Kaatera has touched the $7.9 million mark in the worldwide collection.
Besides this, Kaatera received positive reviews from the critics and the audience. Additionally, the film is not only a hit at the domestic belt but also gains success in the global belt. However, seeing how much the film will earn in the second week will be interesting.
