Ananya Panday‘s new movie, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, has managed to capture the hearts of many with its relatable storyline. Recently, director Arjun Varain Singh talked about a potential sequel to the movie.
The coming-of-age drama also stars Adarsh Gourav, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Kalki Koechlin, among others. It is written by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Yash Sahai, and Arjun Varain Singh. The movie follows the lives of three best friends who juggle their goals, relationships, and emotions together in the digital era. Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films produced Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. It premiered on Netflix on December 26, 2023.

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’s director talks about potential sequel
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Arjun Varain Singh shared his perspective on the potential sequel to the movie. He stated, “I don’t know anything about doing a sequel. I don’t think it needs a sequel, to be very honest. But, you never know!”
He also shed light on how the movie’s title was decided. The title is based on the song by the same name from Baar Baar Dekho (2016). He shared, “The working title was ‘Friends and Followers’. But it was just a working title which wasn’t snappy or memorable enough. It was also in English! We had shot the announcement video and I was thinking about a title that would really work for the film.”
He further added, “At the same time, Jee Le Zara had just been announced and then I started seeing memes online, how Excel and Tiger Baby Films use their song lyrics for their movie titles! I thought why can’t I do that! So I asked my DA to just scan through all the lyrics. We shortlisted a couple of lines and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan seemed to be the most appropriate one. It also works thematically very well.”
