Celebrated actors Mammootty and Jyothika recently joined hands for the intense drama Kaathal – The Core. The film received critical acclaim and the audience undoubtedly loved it. Both Jyothika and Mammootty are doting actors in Indian cinema. The film also marked Jyothika’s return to Malayalam cinema and her character is being lauded widely. Jeo Baby has helmed the film.
Kaathal – The Core makers pay homage to its entire crew
The one unique thing about Kaathal – The Core is that its credits are shown at the beginning of the movie. Unlike other movies that mention their crew’s name at the end, the film pays a heart-melting homage to its team. In the opening credits, the makers thanked drivers, light men, production executives, and all technical departments. Jeo Baby is known for choosing a different path in filmmaking and this is a prime example of that.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Vamsi Kaka praised the filmmaker’s gesture. He wrote, “The opening credits of Malayalam Megastar Mammootty’s Kaatha – The Core started with drivers, production executives, light men & all the other departments. Generally, these are credited at the end of the film (when the crowd starts leaving the theater) Kudos to whoever thought of putting all these names in the beginning of the film.” He added, “Not that it matters to anyone, but this kind gesture will mean a lot to those hardworking people and their families.”
Kaathal – The Core’s plot revolves around an estranged couple. The husband is a retired bank manager who decides to run for panchayat elections. On the other hand, his wife files a divorce case against him claiming he is a homosexual. What happens next makes the movie’s plot.
