Dunki Box Office Collection Day 13: Shah Rukh Khan Movie Earns $24 Million

The much-anticipated Bollywood film Dunki, directed by the acclaimed Rajkumar Hirani, has stormed the box office. It has crossed $24 million in India within just 13 days of its release. The movie boasts an ensemble cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal, among others.

Dunki opened with a bang, raking in an impressive $3.5 million on its first day. Although the collections witnessed a slight dip on the second day, with earnings of $2.4 million, the movie gained momentum over the weekend. Saturday saw a substantial increase of $3 million, followed by a robust $3.6 million on Sunday.

As the week progressed, Dunki faced the customary Monday test, where movies typically witnessed a significant drop post-the weekend. However, the film managed to defy expectations, collecting $2.9 million on Monday, surpassing the Friday figures. The first week concluded on a solid note, accumulating a net total of $19 million in India.

The second week began with a softer opening on Friday, amassing $800,000. Nonetheless, the weekend proved to be lucrative once again, with steady numbers of $1 million on Saturday and $1.3 million on Sunday. The second Monday experienced a decline, recording $1 million. The trend continued into the thirteenth day, with early estimates suggesting a slight dip to $4 hundred thousand, marking the lowest figures so far.

According to Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh Khan’s third release of 2023 has soared to new heights, grossing an impressive $48 million worldwide. However, alternative sources like Sacnilk report a gross global earnings figure of $46 million, with $28 million originating from India and $19 million from overseas collections.

Dunki stands out not only for its star-studded cast and gripping storyline but also for its ability to sustain momentum at the box office despite the usual challenges posed by weekdays.
