Sanju (2018)

Rajkumar Hirani directed and edited Sanju, which he and Vidhu Vinod Chopra produced under the banners Rajkumar Hirani Films and Vinod Chopra Films. Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi wrote the biographical comedy-drama.

The film is based on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. It mainly focuses on the actor’s drug addiction, his arrest after the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts, his relationship with his father, and his acting career. Ranbir Kapoor stars as the titular character, along with Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, and Paresh Rawal, among others.

Sardar Udham (2021)

Shoojit Sircar directed the biographical historical drama, Sardar Udham, produced by Rising Sun Films in collaboration with Kino Works.

The film is based on the life of Udham Singh. He was a freedom fighter from Punjab, famous for assassinating Michael O’Dwyer in London to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 in Amritsar. It stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, along with Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Amol Parashar, Banita Sandhu, and Kirsty Averton, among others.
