Telugu superstar Prabhas is all set to return to the big screen this year. The creators of Salaar released a brand new poster of his character from the movie on his 44th birthday.
They made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and posted a special message. The post read, “Happy birthday to the Unrelenting, Unmerciful King’s General SALAAR, #Prabhas.” In the poster shared by them, Prabhas appears in an intense, raw, and gritty look.

Prabhas’ Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki release dates confirmed
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action thriller is all set to release on December 22, 2023. The film will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Titled Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, the film is Prabhas’ most-awaited project this year and will be released in two parts like K. G. F.
Salaar features a stellar cast besides Prabhas, which includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, and Sriya Reddy. The film will also be released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, in addition to Kannada and Telugu.
On the occasion of Prabhas’ birthday and Salaar’s poster release, X introduced special emojis of his character from the film. Custom emojis are a proof that Prabhas’s stardom is global. The emojis are associated with a few hashtags, including #Prabhas, #SalaarCeaseFireOnDec22, #SalaarCeaseFire, and #SalaarComingBloodySoon.
Salaar was previously scheduled to hit theaters on September 28, 2023. However, its release date was postponed. While the release date of Shah Rukh Khan‘s Dunki was announced by the actor last year, the makers of Salaar made the big announcement of the revised release date on Friday. The makers wrote, “Coming bloody soon. #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release On Dec 22, 2023. #SalaarCeaseFireOnDec22.”
Sharing the Dunki release announcement last year, director Rajkumar Hirani wrote, “Shah Rukh Khan. Aakhir humne ek saath movie banane ka decision le hi liya (We finally managed to make a movie together). Extremely thrilled to announce #Dunki, coming to you next Christmas! Release in cinemas on 22.12.23.”
