Blue Underground releases two of Jess Franco and Christopher Lee’s Fu Manchu films on a double feature Blu-ray
Eurohorror archivists and sleaze saviors Blue Underground are resurrecting a pair of exploitation film icon Jess Franco‘s most sought after late ’60s efforts, films made for his frequent collaborator and friend, producer Harry Alan Towers and starring the immortal Christopher Lee. Based on the writing of pulp author Sax Rohmer, 1968’s The Blood of Fu Manchu and 1969’s The Castle of Fu Manchu cast Lee as everyone’s favorite evil, lengthy-moustached madman hatching his usual plot to conquer to world and diabolically murdering anyone who tries to stop him.
Boasting handsome production values, a stunning international cast and featuring Lee at the peak of his powers, these trashy and sexy horror thrillers are sandwiched together in a feature-packed double feature Blu-ray that will hit the streets on May 30th.
Blood of Fu Manchu (1968, aka Kiss and Kill, Against All Odds)
From his secret lair deep within the South American jungle, international super-villain Fu Manchu (Lee) and his sadistic daughter Lin Tang (Tsai Chin of You Only Live Twice) reveal their latest diabolical plot for world domination: ten beautiful women are infected with an ancient poison so deadly that one kiss from their lips will bring instant death and lead to a global plague. Now the Asian madman’s nemesis, Nayland Smith (Richard Greene of Tales from the Crypt), must desperately hunt an antidote in a savage land where rape and torture reign and the ultimate evil lies in The Blood of Fu Manchu.
Maria Rohm (Venus in Furs) and Shirley Eaton (Goldfinger) co-star in this wild Fu Manchu feature presented here in its uncut, European version complete with nudity and extra violence!

Can any of the world’s top secret agents (including a wild performance by Jess Franco) now stop the cold-blooded terror that lives in The Castle of Fu Manchu?
