Brooklyn’s Morbid Anatomy Museum Backs Gothic Necrophilia Doc NO PLACE FOR THE LIVING

Unique film to tell the tale of infamous real-life “necromantic”.

Here’s something cool…

Director Ronni Thomas (WALTER POTTER: THE MAN WHO MARRIED KITTENS) has teamed up with the incredible Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn, NY to produce a Gothic-tinted doc about the notorious “Key West Necrophile”. The film is called NO PLACE FOR THE LIVING and it tells the tale of Carl Von Cosel, the lunatic who, in the 1930’s, had long been living with the moldering corpse of a woman, claimed to be in constant communication with her spirit and also planned to use some kind of delusional science to bring her back to life!

Oh yeah, the film will be partially re-enacted by puppets. And will be narrated by the legendary director Richard (HARDWARE) Stanley! And it features FX by FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS‘ Shane Morton! Yow!
“The idea is not only to tell this bizarre story, but to understand it as well,” said filmmaker Ronni Thomas. “I want to make a film that challenges viewers to accept and even like Von Cosel, the way the world did when they first heard his story.”

Thomas and MAM are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to round up the dough needed to bring this macabre tale to lurid life. It’s running now and winds down on April 26th.
