Exclusive Art for A.I. Thriller, Uncanny

There’s little mystery to why exactly a new breed of films are engaging our uncertainty with artificial intelligence. Increasingly sophisticated, the technology will take us strange, new places and both the optimism and anxiety is real. What’s exciting is how these films use the conceit to reveal things about ourselves. Alex Garland’s Ex Machina hit earlier this year and proved a disquieting, gender-focused thriller. What will Uncanny have to offer? Shock Till You Drop reveals the exclusive art for the upcoming film starring Mark Webber, Lucy Griffiths, David Clayton Rogers and Rainn Wilson.

Out November 3 from RLJ/Image, Uncanny is directed by Matthew Leutwyler. In the film, “For ten years, inventor David Kressen has lived in seclusion with his inventions, including Adam, a robot with incredible lifelike human qualities. When reporter Joy Andrews is given access to their unconventional facility, she is alternately repelled and attracted to the scientist and his creation. But as Adam exhibits emergent behavior of anger and jealousy towards her, she finds herself increasingly entangled in a web of deception where no one’s motives are easily decipherable.”

Find Uncanny‘s art, and a clip, below. Expect more from the film, soon.
