Horror’s having recurring nightmares in 2015. Next month alone sees sleep paralysis doc The Nightmare, Romain Bassett’s Eurohorror lucid dream journey Horsehead and a proper bad dream sequence in the acclaimed We Are Still Here. And then, we have Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake. Coming this September, the director of unsettling affairs Absentia and Oculus brings us the tale of a young boy whose nightmares manifest in reality as he sleeps, surely unlocking the dark recesses of his subconscious. Shock Till You Drop presents an exclusive look at the poster for anticipated supernatural thriller, below.

Written by Flanagan and Jeff Howard (Oculus), Before I Wake stars Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane as Jessie and Mark, who “decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody’s imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody’s nightmares.”

Before I Wake is in theaters September 25, 2015 from Relativity. Find the new poster and photos from the film, below.
