MTV has debuted a stylish new teaser for the upcoming Scream The TV Series, one that surveys the aftermath of a high school party splattershow to the dulcet tones of Rilo Kiley.
Apparently the corpses on display are a batch of MTV celebs, but I’m beyond MTV’s demographic at this point (I guess, except when it comes to Scream). The YouTube comments would indicate there are people named Tyler, Holland and Johnny Bananas, however.
Premiering June 30th on MTV, Scream The TV Series finds a YouTube video going viral, which soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the towns troubled past. After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer whos out for blood.
