Jill Marie Jones on the Hunt in Ash vs. Evil Dead

Sleepy Hollow vet Jill Marie Jones is taking to another small screen terror, the upcoming Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead, Sam Raimi’s long-desired continuation of the beloved franchise. 

Starz announced today Jones will essay “Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher who, following the grisly murder of her partner, disgraced  sets out to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility for the crime. But as she soon learns, Ash and his cohorts may be mankind’s only hope against the plague of Evil Dead,” Jones joins returning star Bruce Campbell, as well as Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago as the deadite battling ensemble. DeLorenzo and Santiago play youngsters Kelly and Pablo, who join up with the older, embattled Ash. 

Ash vs. Evil Dead shoots this spring in New Zealand (as did the 2013 remake) and is set to premiere in 10 half-hour episodes later this year on Starz. Sam Raimi is directing the pilot, which he penned with Ivan Raimi. The Evil Dead creator is producing alongside Campbell and series producer Rob Tapert. Craig DiGregorio acts as showrunner.
