Trailer: Swedish Apartment Horror, Sensoria

Shades of Polanski and The Sentinel abound in this preview for upcoming Swedish apartment horror, Sensoria

Twitch debuted the clip, a first look at director Christian Hallman’s feature debut. Sensoria “follows Caroline Menard, a woman in her late thirties, who has lost almost everything she cares for in the world and is searching for a new beginning. She moves into an old apartment and starts to realise that she is not as alone as she thought she was. Just as she is searching for something new, something is searching for her… Slowly, strange and unexplainable things start to happen, and it escalates until the walls of reality come crashing down on her. What was supposed to be something new and better becomes a living nightmare…”

Hallman tells the site the film is in the tradition of Polanski and De Palma, “with a Scandinavian twist.” That’s certainly on display in the trailer as cold frames meet oppressive neighbors and strange happenings. Sensoria is expected on the film festival circuit throughout 2015, and Shock will certainly be keeping an eye out. Note: The trailer is slightly unsafe for you to watch while you should be doing work.
