Rubinstein is fresh off his starring role in Condemned for Caliber Media. Mortimer co-wrote the screenplay with novelist Brian DeLeeuw.
Some Kind of Hate follows Lincoln, a tightly wound kid who is a favorite target for the local high school bullies. Sent away to a remote desert reform school, the harassed teenager accidentally summons a vengeful spirit, herself a victim of bullying, to exact retribution on his tormentors.
Michael Polish, Noah Segan, Lexi Atkins, Spencer Breslin, Maestro Harrell, Jasper Polish, Jeremy Hawkins and Brando Eaton round out the starring roles in the cast.
