SXSW Preview: Blair Witch Co-Director Aims to Make Bigfoot Scary Again

ExistsBigfoot is the subject of another "found footage" film. What makes this one different? It comes to us from the co-director of The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Rodriguez, who knows a thing or two about "found footage."

His latest, Exists, premieres at SXSW Friday, March 7th. With the film, he's reunited with screenwriter Jamie Nash. The two previously collaborated on AlteredSeventh Moon and Lovely Molly, which enjoyed some critical acclaim.

In Exists, brothers Brian and Matt Tover secretly sneak out to their Uncle's long abandoned cabin in East Texas for a party weekend with their friends. They find themselves stalked by the legendary Sasquatch. Cut off from the world, and knowing help isn’t coming, the kids must try to make it out of the woods alive while hunted by a creature that’s smarter, stronger, and more terrifying than they would have ever believed exists.

Shock will be on the ground in Austin covering SXSW, so stay tuned for our thoughts on this film and more!
