Tom Hiddleston Boards Ben Wheatley’s Adaptation of High Rise

High Rise is Wheatley’s next project once he has wrapped directing duties on Doctor Who.  He was attached to High Rise last summer.

Published in 1975, the story is set in a high rise where the occupants gradually divide themselves into class structures and bloody battles break out from floor to floor to gain dominance.

Nicolas Roeg almost turned it into a film in the ’70s.  Then, in 2010, Vincenzo Natali was going to direct from a script by Richard Stanley.

Hiddleston, of course, is best known as the co-star of the Thor films and The Avengers.  He’ll next be seen in the vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive.

More details on this film as they come in!
