CBS Threatens You With More Under the Dome in June

file_174639_0_5-under-thedome-265One of the biggest disappoints of last year was CBS' adaptation of the Stephen King novel Under the Dome.  Frankly, I thought it was a dud and I heard it deviated in some truly baffling directions.

Hey, if you're a fan of the show, CBS today announced the premiere date for season two.

Its sophomore run begins on Monday, June 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).  The premiere episode will be written by Stephen King.

Strangely, Under the Dome was last summer's #1 program, averaging 15.06 million viewers and 3.9/11 in adults 18-49, ranking as the most-watched scripted summer series in 21 years.

In case you haven't been following, the series tells the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town's inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from, and if and when it will go away.
