Final Destination 5 director Steven Quale is getting back behind the camera for a new film for New Line which is being described right now only as a “found footage” tornado project. The untitled thriller has made headlines here on Shock before, however, details have arisen regarding the cast and another writer trackling the script.
According to Variety, Simon Beaufoy has come aboard to give the film a rewrite. He’s known for Salmon Fishing in Yemen and is currently writing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
On the casting front, Quale is reuniting with his Final Destination 5 star Arlen Escarpeta. Jeremy Sumpter, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne and Nathan Kress are also set to appear in the film which is scheduled to start shooting at the end of this month in Michigan.
