An October, 2012 North America DVD release has been secured through Midnight Releasing and it is also slated for a North American cable/satellite VOD run to be announced.
From Beneath concerns a young couple on a vacation to a relative’s rural farmhouse. Hot and sticky from the long drive there, Sam and Jason take a dip in the pond only to be bitten by a strange leech-like organism which crawls inside Jason when he tries to rip it off. Back at the house, Sams sister and her family have yet to return. As time progresses, the injury on Jasons leg worsens into a rapidly spreading infection, and strange clues begin to reveal that there may be more to their hosts absence than previously appeared. It soon becomes a race against time to discover what happened to Sams sister and her family and what lies in store for Jason, faced with his physical and emotional disintegration.
From Beneath, completed in 2011, was written and directed by David Doucette and produced by Ashe Morrison.
