The group is made up of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez and Chad Villella – they last contributed to VHS, which is coming out later this year from Magnolia.
Vulture says Reawakening was penned by Shutter scribe Luke Dawson and the tale is a mix of Frankenstein and Flatliners.
Reawakening is just one of many Frankenstein-inspired projects in the works. There’s, I, Frankenstein currently shooting with Aaron Eckhart; a Max Landis-penned Frankenstein story for Fox; a Frankenstein series in the works for television and, of course, the long-mooted Guillermo del Toror-directed Frankenstein for Universal.
