Can An Army of Priests Stop the Devil in The Cloth?

Just as we had seen in the wake of Paranormal Activity, which spawned countless supernatural imitators, expect plenty of exorcism-fueled fare to come post-The Devil Inside.

Shock got wind of a new film in post-production called The Cloth, from writer-director Justin Price.  Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, Rachele Brooke Smith, Kyler Willett and Steven Brand. (Please tell me we see Trejo performing an exorcism…)

Smiith’s background includes a lot of background dancing in various films – is a dance-off with the Devil in store for us here? – and Brand was recently seen in Hellraiser: Revelations.

Head inside for a full plot synopsis…

The Cloth is a thriller centered on a secret organization formed by the Catholic Church to counteract the rising cases of demonic possessions across the country. With the arrival of the Devil’s General Kasdeya on earth, the members of the Cloth have only seven days to stop the crossover of the ultimate evil into our realm. To stop Beelzebub’s arrival, their mission depends on Jason (Kyler Willett), a young godless man, to lead the next generation of Cloth members before the Devil and his armies walk the earth.

Filming took place around Los Angeles and Texas.  We’ll keep you posted when a trailer/release date arrives.
