Stephen King’s Under the Dome Has a Writer

The series heading to Showtime

Brian K. Vaughan is the writer DreamWorks Television has hired for the unenviable task of adapting “Under the Dome.” I say “unenviable” because that Stephen King-penned novel is a beast.

But writing for Lost must have been no easy task either. Vaughan penned 39 episodes of that series.

“Under the Dome” is being produced by DreamWorks and Steven Spielberg. Showtime picked it up as a series earlier this year.

The story tells of a small town in Maine which is cut off from the rest of the world by an invisible dome. With air, food and patience dwindling, societal norms within this town begins to break down.
