And behind-the-scenes FX pieces?
[Update]: According to Shock reader “Josh,” a sculptor on the film says the maquette photo below and the others on the Facebook page are not legit.
Someone operating this Facebook page for Universal’s upcoming The Thing wisely pulled some FX screen grabs from a high-quality version of the trailer. Some pretty cool stuff, for sure.
If you head to that page, you’ll find some concept FX maquettes, but let’s temper the excitement here. I’m suspect if these things are legit. They certainly look like they’re on display in an FX shop. But I can’t imagine someone had ADI (the FX shop responsible for the creature work) would allow these to leak. If they are real? Cool.
The prequel hits theaters October 14.
