Who will play the “beauty”?
Producer Denise Di Novi (Crazy Stupid Love) tells ComingSoon.net and ShockTillYouDrop.com’s Ed Douglas that she is developing a new take on the timeless tale “Beauty and the Beast.”
Here’s the good part: Di Novi is working on this project with Guillermo del Toro. The producer added that the project will be a vehicle for Harry Potter‘s Emma Watson.
Del Toro has a lot on his plate. Next month is the release of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, which he co-penned and produced. He’s currently in pre-production on Pacific Rim, lensing in Toronto later this year.
“Beauty and the Beast” could be another producing outlet for Del Toro, given his schedule. But under his guidance, this will likely be one interesting interpretation of the story.
