Michonne, King & Hill
Frank Darabont walked the red carpet last night of the Saturn Awards (where he earned acclaim for The Walking Dead).
FEARnet was there to gather some information about The Walking Dead season two. Darabont confirmed again the series will eventually get around to introducing Michonne, the sword-wielding gal Rick meets in the series. But that won’t happen until season three. Hopefully, AMC green lights a third year, right?
As for Stephen King and Joe Hill’s involvement as writers, well, there’s interest, of course. They want to pen episodes, but right now it is contingent on their schedules.
“We’ve just been waiting for their schedules to mesh. For them to both be free at the same time. That’s the only thing that’s stopping it from happening. It’ll happen eventually, I’m sure,” Darabont said.
Season two shooting is well underway and is expected to debut this October.
