First look at two new thrillers
In anticipation of the Los Angeles Film Festival (running June 16 -26), we’ve got some images to share with you from two genre offerings: Entrance, an indie production shot in L.A., and Korea’s Haunters.
Entrance centers on Suziey, a beautiful Silverlake hipster, who mysteriously loses her beloved dog. A creeping anxiety begins to set in and she decides sheâs had enough of L.A. But on the night of her going-away party, Suziey finds out that leaving might not be so easy.

Haunters, from writer-director Kim Min-suk, is about Cho-in, a psychic sociopath who can control people with his eyes, a ability he has exploited in ways both petty and disturbing. Then he meets Kyu-nam, the one person in the world who can resist his evil gaze. The two become locked in an ever-escalating game of cat-and-mouse.

Other films playing at the fest this year include the world premiere of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and Ti West’s The Innkeepers (review).
