Will produce slate of new horror films
Jaume Collet-Serra is making big strides in the Hollywood scene.
The filmmaker behind House of Wax, Orphan and Unknown has created a new production outfit called Ombra.
With this company, he’ll shepherd emerging Spanish filmmakers and produce horror, thriller and fantasy films.
Up first is Mindscape by writer Guy Holmes. The film is about a dude who can wander through people’s memories. He takes an assignment to, according to Deadline, “figure out if a 16-year-old girl is a psychopath or a victim of trauma, or both.”
StudioCanal will fund Ombra’s projects.
