I, Frankenstein Lands a New Director!

Expected to begin shooting this year

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stuart Beattie has been brought in to take the helm of I, Frankenstein at Lakeshore.

Beattie will also be reworking the script which was penned by Kevin Grevious, now an executive producer on the project.

This means Patrick Tatopoulos, who had been attached to direct, is now off the picture.

The film finds the Frankenstein monster working as a private detective in a gothic sea-side city where he must contend with sundry classic monsters.

Beattie’s credits as a writer include 30 Days of Night and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Last year, he directed Australia’s box office hit Tomorrow, When the World Began.

Lakeshore wants I, Frankenstein rolling by later this year.
