Based on the Vertigo comic book
Is Eric Kripke of Supernatural the right man to spearhead a television series based on Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” comic books? That was the question when Kripke’s name and the property were thrown together a few months ago. Of course, fans were divided (when aren’t they, really?), then all went silent. Not a word from camp Kripke or “Sandman.”
Today, The Hollywood Reporter received an update. With the pilot season well underway, it looks like “Sandman” didn’t make the cut. “Unfortunately, for a lot of varying reasons, Sandman is not in the works, at least for this season,” Kripke told THR.
That doesn’t mean the potential series is dead. Kripke is hopeful he’ll be able to get it off the ground in the future. For more, follow this link.
