Premiering at SXSW
Joseph Kahn’s Detention wasted no time getting before our eyes. The film wrapped shooting last year in Los Angeles with Josh Hutcherson, Dane Cook, Spencer Locke and Shanley Caswell starring. Then, last October, Kahn gave us a look at Cinderhella, one of the film’s villains. Today, a trailer has premiered in anticipation of Detention‘s SXSW premiere. Kahn is having a bit of fun here, even at his own expense. The first few seconds reference his “stupid movie” Torque. Even without MTV’s involvement in the trailer debut, this looks like something that is right up the network’s alley.
