Tom Felton on His Role in The Apparition

A Flatliners-esque horror film

Harry Potter baddie Tom Felton stars alongside Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan and Julianna Guill next year in Todd Lincoln’s The Apparition. The film, until recently, was one Dark Castle was keeping somewhat quiet until it released a pair of images and the following synopsis:

When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly and Ben discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…

Felton spoke to the L.A. Times recently and elaborated on his participation in the supernatural mayhem that occurs.

“It’s a sci-fi thriller with a dash of horror, and we shot it in Berlin. It’s based around the paranormal. Ashley Greene from the ‘Twilight’ films is the lead, and Sebastian Stan is in it. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. My character is the instigator of all the madness, all the experiments, and he’s in search of proof, and, of course, that leads to the downfall of the group. It’s kind of in the tradition of ‘Flatliners,’ but there’s more of a horror element there, and it’s very technological.”

The film opens on August 20, 2011. For photos, click here.
