Ringu director producing show
Hideo Nakata is executive producing an American television show for NBC.
No, it’s not a series based on The Ring (although, imagine that). Instead, it’s called Vines, about a family that takes over a winery, but there’s something supernatural about the vineyard surrounding the place.
The 4400‘s Mark Kruger and Michael Aguilar developed the project, at first, as a feature, says Deadline. Looks like it’s best suited for the small screen.
Nakata may direct an episode or two.
