No More Bait for Mulcahy

New director on shark thriller

In our second item of the day regarding a director stepping off a project (see our earlier Pride piece from this morning), it’s being reported that Russell Mulcahy is no longer directing the 3D nature-run-amok film Bait.

Mulcahy has been attached to the 3D thriller for quite some time. Fangoria says, however, that Kimble Rendall is now taking over. He has toiled in the 2nd unit trenches on The Matrix, Ghost Rider and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

Bait is set in an Australian store that becomes flooded and is set upon by tiger sharks eager to munch on the trapped customers.
