Going theatrical and to DVD

Marcos Effron’s And Soon the Darkness, a remake of Robert Fuest’s 1970s Australian thriller, may eschew a theatrical run here in the U.S.
According to Blu-Ray.com, Anchor Bay – who picked the film up for distribution earlier this year – is going to drop this title on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 28.
But wait just a minute, a limited theatrical run is also being planned. Laemmle has the film listed as hitting the big screen on December 17.
Odette Yustman and Amber Heard star and play two American girls who go on a bike trip in a remote part of Argentina. When they split up, one of them goes missing, the other must find her before her worst fears are realized. Karl Urban also stars.
