Alien Prequel Hires Lost’s Lindelof

But what’s Scott going to work on next?

Lost‘s Damon Lindelof has reportedly been taking meetings with Ridley Scott and Fox for the upcoming Alien prequel.

What for? Script work. And, according to Deadline, “the exchange of ideas between [Scott Free and Lindelof] sparked a take that could well turn out to be a free-standing science fiction film.”

Now, it’s down to the studio to figure out the next step. It’s looking like the Alien prequel won’t be Scott’s directorial gig. Deadline rightly says he has attached himself to a number of projects like Gucci, the vampire film The Passage, based on the best-seller of the same name and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Jon Spaihts penned the Alien prequel script that Lindelof is apparently working on.
