In the vein of…
UK’s house of horror, Hammer Films, is predominantly known for their spin on classic monsters, but the studio’s output back in the day including plenty of taut thrillers (Sony recently released a crop of them on DVD – a must buy).
Now that Hammer is back on the scene, we’ve been seeing plenty of horror-related projects rev up at the studio. This morning, however, they announced the acquisition of Wake, a script by Chris Borrelli. Kasper Barfoed is attached to direct, he’s currently prepping the Ethan Hawke film The Numbers Station.
All that’s revealed about the plot is that it’s a Transporter-style story. Knowing Hammer, there will be more to it than that.
