Stan Winston Roadshow in the Works

Pumpkinhead producers talk early plans

Over the weekend, Shock Till You Drop co-hosted a screening of the late Stan Winston’s 1988 creature feature Pumpkinhead at the New Beverly in Los Angeles.

In attendance, screenwriter Gary Garani and producers Bill Blake and Richard Weinman. There, Blake and and Weinman revealed to the audience that plans are in the works to put on a Stan Winston roadshow that would tour the country with his creations and look at his legacy in film. Blake and Weinman added it will be interactive in some respects allowing attendees to be hands-on in the monster making business.

We’re a ways away from seeing this come to fruition, but it sounds like an incredible way to honor Winston who passed away in 2008.
