Stephen King’s Colorado Kid Rides to SyFy

Only it will be called Haven

The producers of the hit television series The Dead Zone are turning to another Stephen King tale.

Showrunner Scott Shepherd and executive producers Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller are overseeing Haven for SyFy. It’s an adaptation of King’s novella “The Colorado Kid” and is set in the Maine town of Haven where an FBI agent is investigating supernatural forces plaguing those living in exile.

Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn wrote the pilot.

“The Colorado Kid” was first published in 2005 and was King’s crack at hard-boiled noir.
