Up for game of the year and more
Spike TV announced the nominees and categories for the 7th annual Video Game Awards.
The two-hour event, taking place in Los Angeles, CA, will premiere LIVE on Spike TV Saturday, December 12 at 8:00pm, ET/PT. And, beginning today, fans can vote for their favorite nominees at VGA.Spike.Com.
On the horror front, Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 has taken nominations in the Game of the Year, Best PC Game, Best Multi-Player Game, Best Shooter and Best XBox 360 categories while Valve itself is up for Studio of the Year.
Demon’s Souls is nominated in the Best RPG category. And in the Best Game Based on a Movie/TV Show and Best Cast categories you’ll find Ghostbusters (Bill Murray has a nod for Best Performance By a Human Male). And, finally, Plants vs. Zombies is in the running for Best Downloadable Game.
