Pimping the “Digital 3D experience,” Regal Entertainment has a calendar posted on its official site revealing the array of 3D pictures coming our way.
On there you’ll find Piranha 3D, Resident Evil: Afterlife and Friday the 13th: Part 2 (erroneously called “Part 3” on the site).
This talk of Voorhees returning to the screen in 3D backs up what we reported in October. Again, however, Platinum Dunes recently stated a script is in the works, but it hasn’t received the green light. Also, if it is going to be in 3D, the next Friday installment will have to have a higher budget than the reboot we saw earlier this year.
Is New Line/Warner Bros. willing to invest in that? If so, and if it gets the green light, Friday the 13th: Part 2 looks to be hitting theaters August 13, 2010.
