Beware Reilly’s gaze
Gloomy, quirky and safe. That’s how the ads are beginning to look for Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant (set visit). And that’s how they should be since this is, after all, “horror lite” for the teenage set plowing through Darren Shan’s “Cirque Du Freak” novels.
While the focus of the U.S. poster design, so far, is star Chris Massoglia, international ads (below) are tapping into the recognition value of Salma Hayek (playing the bearded lady) and John C. Reilly. Is that Ray Stevenson off to the right? Possibly.
Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant opens in the U.S. on October 23.
