Dunstan comments on MPAA rating
Buzz is building on Marcus Dunstan’s The Collector. So far, it’s good. Once in the mitts of Dimension Films, Dunstan’s directorial debut (get a peek at some images here) is now being carried by Freestyle Releasing and will open in theaters on July 31st. If you live in Texas, however, you can see it earlier.
The team behind Fantastic Fest and the Horror Squad are presenting a screening on July 22nd at the Alamo Ritz. Full details an be found here. Dunstan is racing through post-production to get the film done and he recently did his dance with the MPAA. Here’s what he had to say about that: “Well, we just received our R rating after four trips to the MPAA, and I’m happy to say that none of the film’s impact has been lost. Matter of fact, their notes made some scenes hit even harder!”
