A Hex on Shannon and Arnett!

Two more actors join DC comics adaptation

Anyone who has seen Michael Shannon’s turn in Dead Birds will agree he’s the right man to show his face in Warner Bros.’ adaptation of Jonah Hex. Will Arnett, though? Bizarre.

Both actors will join Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Megan Fox. According to THR, Arnett (The Brothers Solomon) is stepping outside of the comedy realm to play a Union soldier who enlists Hex (Brolin) and “is blindsided by the dirty fighting style of his enemies.” As for Shannon, he’ll co-star as Doc Cross Williams, the ringleader of a gladiator circus event. THR says the Doc might return for sequels.

Directed by Jimmy Hayward and written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, Hex follows a scarred bounty hunter intent on tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of the undead to liberate the South.
