Update: Zombie Finds His H2 Java Hole

Tons of behind-the-scenes stills!

Update: The Black Bunny blog is now running a series of photos from Covington, Georgia which has received a “Haddonfield” facelift. Too many pics to re-post here, so go check them out!

A revealing article posted at the Georgia-based “Morgan County Citizen” pinpointed a few local spots where Rob Zombie’s H2 (aka Halloween 2) is shooting.

Dog Ear Books bookstore in downtown Madison will transform into “Uncle Meets [sic] Java Hole,” a coffee house and record store this Thursday, just long enough for the cast and crew of “H2: Halloween 2” to film an intimate scene for Rob Zombie’s remake of the classic horror film series next Monday. Location Manager Mike Neale, who has been scouting Madison since he left Los Angeles in December, wouldn’t offer too many details about the film, only that it would be a “re-imagining of John Carpenter’s Halloween sequel.”

Neale also requested permission to shoot footage of the Morgan County Courthouse at last week’s county commissioners’ meeting, but he would only confirm the bookstore location by phone on Tuesday.

Uncle Meat’s Java Hole, as revealed here, is where Scout Taylor Compton’s Laurie Strode works with pal Mya Rockwell (Brea Grant). Locations throughout Covington, Decatur, Atlanta and other areas of Madison are also being used for the production. Shooting officially began this week.
