Camera Obscura: Win a copy of Chiller Films’ PTSD horror movie soundtrack on vinyl

The very real horrors of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) take on a supernatural sheen in first-time director Aaron B. Koontz’s deep, dark psychological horror movie Camera Obscura, a movie that has echoes of the classic The Twilight Zone episode “The Purple Testament” with more than a dash of Michael Powell’s controversial 1960 thriller Peeping Tom.

Camera Obscura stars Christopher Denham (Billions, Argo), Nadja Bobyleva (Bridge of Spies), Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black), Chase Williamson (Beyond the Gates) and Noah Segan (The Mind’s Eye, Tales of Halloween).

Synopsis: A veteran war photographer with PTSD sees imminent deaths in his developed photos, questioning his already fragile sanity and putting the lives of those he loves in danger.

As we’ve noted in previous news blasts, one of the most interesting things about the film is that the original score for the film is composed by synthwave hero Steve Moore, who is best known as the co-founder of prog-synth band Zombi and who has composed for several horror films, including Adam Wingard’s “Phase 1 Clinical Trials” vignette in V/H/S/2 as well as Wingard’s 2014 hit The Guest. Moore then went on to compose for the sci-fi horror film The Mind’s Eye and 2016’s Don’t Knock Twice. Moore’s music for the film is outstanding and we have a copy of the full score on vinyl to give to one lucky reader. To enter, email [email protected] with the words “Steve Moore Rules” in the subject line. The winner will be chosen at random.

Chiller Films will release Camera Obscura to theaters on June 9th with VOD and Digital HD premieres chasing that date on June 13th. Check out Moore’s atmospheric track “The End” from the original Camera Obscura soundtrack and tell us what you think!
