Days of Our Lives stars tease Paulina’s next move to woo Abe
Days of Our Lives recently resurrected Lexie Carver, who died during a storyline back in 2012. Although she appeared briefly in 2021 through hallucinations, she is very much alive right now. Her return was possible because EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf were successful in creating a serum that could reverse death. While the character’s fans might be happy to see her return, it also poses a major issue.
Following Lexie’s death, her husband, Abe Carver, fell in love with Paulina Price, and they married. Now, with Lexie’s return, Abe is in a predicament as he may have to choose one of the two ladies to spend his life with. Given Paulina’s empathy for Abe, many fans believed she would give him up so he could be with his ex-wife. However, that just might not be the case.
In an interview with Soaps.com, James Reynolds, who plays Abe, and Jackée Harry, who portrays Paulina, spoke about the storyline and what’s in store for their characters. Reynolds spoke highly of Paulina’s nature, saying that her support is what makes it easy for Abe to handle the situation, even if it hurts her and goes against her own “self-interest.”
Meanwhile, Harry believes that Paulina might think that she has already lost her husband to Lexie. With great enthusiasm, the actress noted that when the time comes, Paulina might fight for her love. “She’s thirsty!” Harry added.
The Emmy-winning actress also said, “[Paulina] has pride as any woman does. She’s not gonna play hard to get. It’s not gonna be easy, but she’s fighting for him. She’s letting him know, I’m in line!”
When asked if Abe will be able to keep everyone happy with whatever decision he takes, Reynolds said, “That’s a hard question.” He explained that Abe feels “horrible” when he sees either of the two women he loves, as they are deeply sorrowful about the ongoing situation.
However, he said, “You can’t love two people at the same time. I think it’s happened to all of us. But it’s a monogamous society, so we choose. And you don’t want to hurt people. You just don’t.”
